I can vouch for this coming from someone who started Elden Ring early 2023 and has since went on to play and finish Sekiro, Lies of P (non fromsoftware but on similar level IMO), and am playing through DS3.

Only problem I noticed is that playing DS3 (which I also love) I tried PVP and I found myself struggling to get a lot of matches, so I went back to Elden Ring because I wanted to try more PVP and have just ended up wanting to play through Elden Ring again because IMO it is like the perfection of DS3, blown out to an open world.

I started with Elden Ring and quit because of frustration until I played Dark Souls 1 Remastered, which had me really hooked and I still replay it to this day. Sure Elden Ring is friendlier, but it’s not the all encompassing starter pack for all people.

Actual start with ds3 is a perfectly balanced game for beginners its not to hard not to easy or any dark souls game is a good way to start soulsborne games

I started with Sekiro then tried DS3. It was like going from a sports car to a beater and I didn’t like it. It’s since become my favorite. I would recommend starting with the early games so you don’t experience the same shock I did.

My brother has been trying to get me into souls games for years to no avail, only for him to buy me elden ring and for me to immediately fall madly in love. Now I can’t get enough and I’ve even played some of the others. Elden ring is undeniably my favorite but Bloodborne is such a vibe

I finished darks souls 1 and sekiro but i m not a bigest fan of elden ring probably becouse of open wordl that is great when it comes to builds but i was lost and didnt know what to do and playing with guide takes all fun

I’ve literally done a 180 when it comes to soul games well specifically Elden ring. I was under multiple comment sections insulting the soul genre and any “loser” who enjoyed those type games until I gave Elden ring a try the closest game to Elden ring I ever played was Skyrim and I thought Skyrim was the best game ever. Elden ring blows it straight out the water. What soul game should I try next? Sekiro looks interesting.
