▶ DUST & GOLD (My Wife & I)

Hi, I'm Mark and I've been teaching and playing guitar professionally for 26 years now, and I've picked up a lot of insights along the way; things I wish I had known when I started out. That's why I started this channel - to share this knowledge with you.

But this is more than just a place to learn guitar. It's also place where you can hang out, relax, be yourself, get support, make friends and get inspired to have more fun with your guitar. So go ahead. Pick up your axe. Hit play. And be a better guitarist.

Thanks for watching!

I think you're the first one ever to bring this kind of techniques on YouTube, another great and useful lesson.
Thank you so much mate !

I have never tried anchoring before to get individual strings. I now find it’s getting better, still lots more practice needed. Thank you.

From the time I started playing I started with a pivot finger, actually I use 2 sometimes, the pinky & ring. After a year & a half of playing, it's hard for me to get used to floating. But thanks so much for this lesson. I appreciate it. Take care!!!

I’ve been teaching myself guitar with YouTube since last July. I found you from your Hey Hey My My video. I learned it with the “advanced” strumming in about an hour. Decided to check out your other videos and well I’m happy to say that I’ve natrually picked up these anchoring techniques. I didn’t know they were an actual thing. Thanks Mark

I’ve always done the pinky anchoring for solos and individual picking. But I’ve never tried it with strumming before. It feels interesting and less tense; I think I could get used to strumming like this!

Love the improvements in audio and video. I'm a big fan of the pinkie anchor. In fact I am a member of your online courses with Jamorama.
