Girl I'm DYING at the part where you said you did a tutorial on your "curls". I recently found all these videos and pictures from my freshman year of college when I thought my heat damaged hair was actually my curl problem, looorrrdddd I'm in the caption of the pics like "Curly girl!" "I'm wearing my curls today!" lmaooo I totally understand the feeling, you just wanna go back in time and smack yourself

You are MY hero. I am currently going into the 10th grade, and I'm struggling with so much heat, and bleach damage in my hair. My hair is curly, but it lost its bounce like it use to have. I want my hair longer and healthier. just like you said that you stumbled upon a YouTube channel that change your life, your channel changed mine. I just want to celebrate my curls and wear them out like I use to. thank you so much for waking me up and helping me realize what I need to do. I'm subscribing ❤️❤️

I used to have curly hair like yours and I started using heat and now I'm trying to get the curls back but the back of my hair is curly but the front of my hair is type straight 😓😓

This past year I have started to go natural and curly. I grew up in Montana and felt embarrassed about having curly hair because I was around everyone with straight hair and they would make fun of me having curly hair. I didn’t have anyone to teach or help me with my hair so I ended up straightening and relaxing it for years. I would just put in a ponytail like you when I was younger and it turned into straight up dreadlocks! My hair kept breaking off horribly and looked dead even when i did straighten it. So I decided to go on the curly journey. Had no idea what to do at all and ran into one of your videos and was even more inspired of how beautiful your curly hair is. I convinced myself that I WILL have beautiful luscious curls like you. I have learned SO much of how to handle and what to do with my hair from your videos. So I just wanted to say thank you so much!! I thought I was the only one. I’m glad I am on this journey and wish I would have done it a lot sooner!

I just want to say that I have been SEARCHING for a video like this. I have been looking at all of these natural hair videos trying to figure out my hair type and what do to with my hair. Like you, I got perms from a very young age all the way up to my late teens. Then I started flat ironing my hair all the time. Now I have decided that I want long luscious curly hair. Right now it's shoulder length and I hate it. I've been trying to figure out my hair type but no one in all of the videos I have watched had hair that looked like mine. Until I saw the clip you inserted of that "tutorial" you filmed a long time ago. Now I know that it's not a curl pattern it's heat damage. Your hair in that clip in exactly what my hair looks like now. Thank you so much for helping me finally realize what is wrong with my hair and why it never looks the way I want it to. I am going on my own journey starting today. I seriously can't thank you enough.

You're awesome! &
The same exact thing happened to me! No joke grew up in white neighborhood, wanted to do my own hair so I slicked it back had a huge knot in the back of my hair then I got a perm and dyed it ...that's when the damage began. Thank you for this video !! 💜

Your hair is amazing. I stopped straightening my hair regularly 7 months ago. It takes a long time to get used to natural hair and an even longer time to start to love it. We have a very similar curl pattern and I hope it gets as long as yours.

I'm growing up in Oregon too! Since 4 years old I lived in Oregon and I feel you! My mom wanted my hair natural but I felt pressure to fit in so I always had my hair straight. This is my 4th year natural and all my friends are shocked I even hid my natural hair:) I'm happy I did my journey:)

Thankyou for this video. I've had the same experience as you with my hair journey. Permed at a young age, not taking care of it, etc; I've been natural for about 2 and a half years (Big chop) and it has been the greatest thing! I didnt know I had curls either, I always envied girls with beautiful curls. We have around the same hair texture, which is great for motivation. I love seeing the potential of my hair. Thankyou so much

I am 14 years old and I texturised my hair last year only once and I am now going back natural how it use to be, my hair texture is literally the same as yours and I am just so excited to get my hair long curly healthy and strong! I currently have box braids but once there out I am going to look after it have it in protecting styles and love my hair again.
