It just fills my heart with joy that we are embracing our natural hair. I didnt get to see my natural hair texture until i was 16 and i fell in love. I’m 22 now and I’m just amazed that i can even look at myself and see beauty when i have a Afro and shrunken coils. I remember being worried about having a perm so i would be presentable and accepted at school because my mom had ingrained that in me. We have come a long way🥹👍🔥💎❤️

It's kind of a sad culture here that is finally starting to improve, for a while parents didn't know how to style curly hair and kids would grow up thinking their hair's ugly/can't be styled or something but turns out it's just a matter of learning and dedication.. I see the new generations learning more about hair care and going out like some otherworldly gods and goddesses now and it just makes me wow so pretty

Love to see it! It makes me super happy seeing other black girls embracing their natural hair. I don’t mean that in a “natural is better” way. I mean it more for those who have an insecurity about it then decide who work through it. I think it’s beautiful when someone has the strength to go on that journey (for any insecurity) especially when it’s something they should never have been made to feel insecure about.

It’s so important to teach our daughters to love themselves in their natural state. Don’t try to change their hair or the way they look, teach them to embrace their differences! It what makes them beautiful and unique. Your hair is beautiful!
