Honestly, the only thing I'm interested in is reliability. I could care less how many different wash cycles it has, I only use cold/cold. I've had my Maytag Washer for over 20 years (23 I think) and have not had one problem. Love your videos!

I have the 6700 model 5.0 cuft version and matching dryer. Night and day difference from a Samsung W/D which sounded like an turbo jet taking off even with the laundry door closed. Dryer drum cracked within 4 years which is known issue. This LG is so quiet, half the time I dont realize it is on and the phone notifications help remind my family when clothes are done.

Super comprehensive and informative. Just got this set (electric dryer) for $1498 before taxes, extras and fees. Definitely feel like we made the right choice after watching this video. Thanks!

Just an FYI the turbowash uses less water and less detergent and uses a fast rubbing motion to clean the clothes. I am noticing a lot more lint in my dryer after purchasing the LG 6500 machine which I have had for almost a year. I did not replace the dryer just the washer and washing the same clothes as before yet there is so much lint now in the dryer. The first time I cleaned the lint filter on the LG6500 washer I notice there was very little lint and debri in the filter of the washer unlike the amount I use to clean out of my Samsung washer filter. I am also noticing lint sticking out of the turbospray ports on the LG washer so this is also a clue that the washer is not filtering the water. I would prefer the standard wash cycle that they say uses uses more water and soap and slower agitation motion so that I know my clothes are getting clean. After finding this out, I have turned off the turbowash feature on my LG. and have noticed a big different in the lint amount and I feel my clothes are a lot cleaner. Before I was noticing that the soap was not getting out of clothes.

Your videos are getting better every time and very professional, a lot of information conveyed! Excellent spokesperson represents well! Never thought I would enjoy an appliance video as much as I do yours!

Lots of reviews saying the GE All in one fails either cost as much as a regular unit to repair or the parts are back ordered 6month.

There is a 4.5 cu ft with the automatic detergent dispenser. WM5700HVA and it’s not that much more (maybe $50 at one point). Don’t have to go to the 6700 at any rate and pay for the extra size just for the dispenser.

I've got the LG WM6700 on order and have a large enough space for it, but I still like the shallower depth of the 5500. My guess is that LG will add automatic dispensing to the slightly smaller machine, making it perfect. Btw, your online description of the WM5500 washer says that it DOES have automatic dispensing.

3:25 You failed to mention the 5500 has smart sync so you don't have to reach the upper controls. The LG app also allows you to access the machine.

TOO MUCH TO CONSIDER!!! I've been researching front load washers/dryers for almost 1 week now, since our Whirlpool Duet (which I LOVED) would not start and turns out the mother board was fried --- not worth fixing a 12 yr old washer, so I started consider another Whirlpool (couldn't buy anoether Duet b/c they've been discontinued!). Then LG. Then GE (which we have all kitchen appliances GE Profile). But so many pros/cons on each brand. I do not want WiFi (our high end slide in convection/induction range has it and I opted not to activate it, and I'm happy!), prefer NO steam, and NO large detergent dispenser. I had that with the DW and the detergent starts to "gum up" and get nasty after a while. Back to the think-tank, and hopefully have a decision by this afternoon....

All I care about is it not breaking, "features" are mostly useless to me

I have this set, I really like it, I like the app, I like that my phone tells me the wash is done, I forget to look sometimes. The one knob idea works well. Changing the order and cycle types are simple with the app, removing ones I don’t use reduce clutter and simplify things. and the machine looks simple and sleek without all the writing all over it, really my only complaint is the stupid and rather misleading 10 year warranty sticker on the washer, I removed mine, it looks
Much better without it, imo, that sticker was a pain to remove, and it left sticky residue that was very very difficult to remove.
The door has a magnetic catch to leave the door ajar slightly to dry out, with a side load this is very important.
The turbo 360 gets things fully wet with little water unlike other high efficiency washers, the steam in the dryer has really been useful to me. Bath towel or comforter refresh with the need to fully wash. Saves time and money.
Lone my 5500 set.

I can't wait to see the head to head review of the heat-pump combo all-in-ones from GE & LG.

2:06 The 4.5 has the tray dispenser. Kinda sounds like you are saying you have to jump to the 5.0 for the dispenser.

Do you have any info about the bottom drawers? Can’t find anything

No reversible door. The door only swing left so you may consider or check where you want to place the washer before you buy.
