There's a difference between organic grass fed meat compared to crappy processed meat raised with hormones and antibiotics. I don't hear them mention this.

I'd love to see a study between a plant based diet vs. whole foods diet. Often times studies compare plant based diets to the standard American diet. Once diets that include less refined foods the gap between plant based vs. animal foods shrinks quite significantly

People can be upset as they want but proteins in animal sources increase IGF-1. Chronic IGF-1 spikes are basically responsible for a range of health issues like cancer, heart disease etc. This is not only true for animal proteins but also nuts and seeds. Specific amino acids are luceine and methionine. Low-protein, high-carb (good carbs) diet has given me more benefit personally than high-protein, low-carb diet. I tried both.

Confirming the source of funding for research determines the outcome of the research.

I just finished reading "outlive" by Peter Attia, and it seems that concerning nutrition, it's almost impossible to be sure of anything. Though the mediterranean diet appears to be the more sustainable.
And concerning the protein intake the official recommandations are way too low. Greetings from France.

Eamon and Bec are a youtube/ vlogging couple. She is a vegan and she was diagnosed with breast cancer. God willing she didn't die. She doesn't eat meat and was diagnosed with breast cancer. How can one explain this?

I'm vegan. I have cancer, but it doesn't have me! I used a lot of terrible products on myself; including black hair dye for years and years; which is linked to breast cancer as well as aerosol deodorants to name a few.

I've been eating red meat primarily for the last year and have never felt more healthy, protein is essential for our muscle growth and health, especially in our second half of life. That being said, eat what you feel is best for you, but don't tell other's how to eat. We are all different in what we need nutritionally to thrive.

Sorry but you go listen to the carnivores on you tube talk about the disappearance Of auto immune diseases when they switched their diets …. I struggled on vegan due to high Oxalates and lectins in the vegan foods …. it is also a high carb diet and raises insulin levels …. I became a stick insect on vegan and now eat a balanced diet with adequate protein levels ….. glyphosate levels Oxalates and lectins you experts rarely talk about

Of all the people you know who died of cancer, how many were vegan or vegetarian?

It is amazing that there is any controversy here. The dietary pattern that is optimal for humans is one with very little animal protein (or possibly none at all), while getting a huge variety of unprocessed whole plant foods day after day, year after year.

What a load of bs. This is exactly why one should not listen to these influencer "doctors". What's just as annoying is that hair on the microphone

Grass fed beef is fine in moderation. Too many carbs is not optimal for busy Americans l.

I looked his work up because he's so floofin handsome, and he wasn't trying to be. He's Dr. Valter D. Longo. I'll stop crushing now, and go read!
I'm already happy, because I only ever eat meat to be social and easy-to-please as a guest. Do I dare send this to those very friends who grill and roast though? It'll take a little courage since it's difficult for me to speak up. (I spoke up on a different topic though, getting their home tested and remediated for radon gas last year (since I housesit there while they travel), so maybe this is the now or the next thing, as I want them to be healthy and well, as surely they do.)

But I don’t want the rest of the world to stop eating meat because then veggies, legumes and starches will become expensive. Because it’ll be bougie or trendy!
