I broke my iPhone 4, not by dropping it, but by placing it in a bag. It shattered due to pressure in the bag.

Tests should be consistent for a list like this to have any meaning at all. Also, surprised the Note 8 isn't on the list. It's large, heavy, and has glass on the front and back. Awesome phone, but very breakable.

I took my Galaxy S2 Sea Kayaking. I had it stowed in a waterproof compartment built in to my kayak that turned out to be not so waterproof....

As long as the screen doesn't crack I'm OK. If the back breaks all I have to do is to put a case on it, so props to Galaxy S8. Best investment ever.

my craziest way to break a phones screen is by throwing my belt onto my bed and the metal part smashed directly on the LCD of my Galaxy S II.

Always have used Otter Box and Ballistic cases and tempered glass screen protectors. Never had one phone break and I have had many drops.
