I'm moving to Saskatchewan in a month or so. And no day light savings....YES...will love that. I hope my son will come out later for work as well as myself. Yes you guessed I'm form BC, land of little affordable living and jobs.

Living in Sask my entire life of 58 years, we do not change our time zones. We are Central time all the time. Alberta and BC are Mountain time and Alberta changes to Central time in the summer time. You are mistaken saying that Sask goes to Mountain time. Also farmers get up when they need to get up, daylight or darkness not just when the sun comes up.

Grew up in Metro Manila, moved to Beijing in my early 20s, then moved to Saskatchewan at 40. I'm not sure what the term for it is but I was in some kind of shock the first 2 years, having lived the previous 40 in megacities. I was asking myself how I ended up in the middle of nowhere and what I was doing with my life :) I've settled in since then and realized I was actually doing alright. I got comfortable with the space and the pace. I was scared of the winters here during my first year but I was no stranger to winter by then so that fear didn't last long.

Also important to mention industry: there’s lots of industry and jobs here. I’ve moved away but came back because the jobs can be lucrative! And low cost of living means I can do more.

0:42 Saskatchewan has been on Permanent Mountain Daylight Time since the mid 1970's. Saskatchewan doesn't change time, yes, But it is on Daylight time. At least the western 2/3 of the province is.

The scenery in Saskatchewan doesn't even begin until you get north of the North Saskatchewan River. Beautiful parkland and forrests extending northward until you reach the Canadian Shield which has just as nice or possibly nicer scenery than the rocky mountains.

I've only been to Saskatoon, and that was just for 4 days for a softball tournament when I was in high school. The city was surprisingly interesting and I had a great time until I got severe salmonella poisoning from bad eggs and had to spend a night in hospital.
