What Is a Good Life?: Crash Course Philosophy #46

Показать описание
In our final episode of Crash Course Philosophy, we consider what it means to live a good life. We’ll look at the myth of Sisyphus, Robert Nozick’s experience machine, Aristotle’s eudaimonistic picture of a good human life, and the existentialists’ view that we each determine the value of our own lives. And we’ll think about how you, too, can live the life of a philosopher.

When you realize that you've spent 8 hours of your life watching Crash Course Philosophy and don't regret a single moment of it. I'll miss you Hank!! Next series I'm watching is Psychology.

This series didn't convince me to be vegan, or compatibilist, or virtuous. But I really believe it made me a better person. I really appreciate that we live in a time where this kind of content can exist for free on the internet. Thanks, CrashCourse.

Thank you. I'm 12 years old and this series on philosophy has impacted my life in so many ways. It has sparked an interest within me for self improvement and evaluation, as well as educated me on the different perspectives that people possess. These videos have introduced me to a fascinating topic that I now love. So thanks.

Thanks for encouraging me to ask "Why?" at such a young age. Now I will be constantly learning of, questioning, and improving my beliefs for the rest of my life.

I can't believe it's the last episode of CC Philosophy! Sad to see it go, but excited to see what Hank and the CC team works on next! CrashCourse has succeeded on making learning fun (so many of us are upset that an educational video series is ending, who would've thought that), and understandable. I thank you for that. Also ironic when talking about death comes the end of the series :/

Great way to end the series. Philosophy is not for university professors but for anyone and everyone. Thanks for the great show.

The fact that I just saved thousands on an American college tuition just made my life even more worth living.

I'm going to miss this series. Every Monday I have semi-obsessively refreshed the Crash Course page once 6'o clock rolls around. It's become the one good thing about Mondays, but it, like all things, is ephemeral.

This notification is such a mix of emotions, on one hand I'm ecstatic about another episode but super bummed about the end of the series 😢

This comment section is like the reminiscence of a loved one at their funeral.

That was quite a powerful message at the end. Anyone telling you to not question something (whether political, religious, scientific or philosophical) is not to be trusted.
