I downloaded headunit reloaded app and tried the wireless method as shown here. It works. Now I dont have to install an expensive android system in my old car, I can just use the app and my old spare android phone as the tablet. andorid auto is working now. Another thing, and the best part, it is capable of connecting to the stereo system in the car. Just pair your spare tablet/phone with the bluetooth in the car

I believe this is referred to casting AA to the tablet, not running AA on the tablet.
