Hey Guys, been meaning to upgrade the Android software (Lineage 14.1) on my old tablet ( LG Gpad ) now for a while. I finally got around to it!

Thought I would share my experience with you on upgrading from Android KitKat 4.4 to Nougat 7.0!

It's a great way to give new life to an old Android device. Links to files below:

If your tech skills aren’t broad enough to even think about changing the playback speed or work around an inadequate volume level(personally had to turn down to keep from waking people at 3 am) your IMO lacking the skills to successfully flash this update to your device and shouldn’t blame any problems or personal short comings on this guy who is only trying to help other people extend the life of unsupported devices! That being said bro, Id like to thank you for what I found to be clear instructions if you have a basic to medium level understanding of how android works or have a lil patience and a google search bar lol I understand if anyone thinks what I said was a little harsh or mean but I’m just trying to be realistic after seeing all the comments left by people thinking this process is as intuitive as clicking a link and you have a whole diff OS like downloading an app from play store

I have what looks like the same tablet and iplayer will soon not work on it. I'm hoping this could solve the problem. It's just having the courage to do it without messing the whole thing up (I'm not great at tech stuff). If I do cock it up is there a recovery option, and do I lose my current apps in the process?

The files u have to download r they only for LG

if you have a Motorola Xoom (like me) when you’re shutting it off press the reboot button then click recovery. It will then automatically load into TWRP (team win recovery project)

I have an RCA tablet with KK4.4. I cant use the hulu app so i want to try this.
This tablet is now $170 on walmart and it's only L.P. 5.0. Total waste of money.
I will try this later and update with my results.

I tried this with my Gigaset Maxwell 10 tablet and every time I try to root the device it says my device isn't supported.
I tried other rooting apps but none of them have worked so far, they either give an error or say my device is too strong.
Is there anything else I can try to get a newer Android version on my tablet?
