Cubase's built in EQ's have a little feature that I love. In this tutorial I will teach you how to use Cubase's Studio EQ and Frequency to dial in exact pitches on your EQ. It is a simple tip and trick, but effective.

Neat. And you can also hold down the control key whilst increasing or decreasing the eq levels and you won't wander off that frequency. You can additionally hold shift to adjust the Q.

Wonderful tip!  I did not know you could do that with studio EQ and Frequency EQ.  This will definitely improve workflow!

That was very helpful. Can you talk about the pros and cons of using the channel strip eq verses the insert effect eq? Thanks!

In your Example, it shows C4 as 515 Hz, thetas Cubase keyboard layout starting at C0, if you wanted to adjust the frequency of C4 as defined by convention, thats what I was taught at Uni, then using this method would put you at the wrong frequency band, to get to the correct C4 you would need to type in C3 then youd be at the correct frequency, or have I got this wrong?

WOW! That was a sweet trix!? Im just into that. Is this only a feature on Cubase?
Thnx 🙏

IN the frequency Plugin, the frequency show is an octave out, eg: if you type into the frequency A4 it shows the frequency to be 880 which is A5 it could be confusing as if your note is at A4 440 you’re messing with A5 880, or have I got this wrong

Hey there... is there an advantage to using Studio Eq as an insert vs the channel strip EQ? Obviously Frequency as a few bells / whistles. But I like how the channel eq shows the frequency spectrum in real time, which Studio Eq doesn't. Thanks!

You should try doing a zach galafanakis impression. I can hear it in your voice.

So you're applying the EQ to all the tracks you have in the "chords" folder, correct? Also I have another question, why don't you use the EQ channel by clicking on the "E" right to the name of the folder? is it because you like the Studio EQ better?
