Those smaller toes are worrying me more honestly; this person letting their toenails grow out to the point that they continue to just grow and curve around the ends of the toes concerns me. I hope they are able to get help taking more regular care of their toenails.

I had this... treated myself... it took almost 2 years for my toe to be just normal... constant care and a watch on the growth and quality of the nail helped me slowly but successfully

I can say I've had my entire big toenail ripped off before and it does grow back perfectly fine. The biggest problem was that there's no protection on the front of your toes so your toe gets hurt more after the nail falls off

My friend once damaged her toenail and it just fell right off. It was entirely weird, but she never had any issues after that. It grew back just fine and healthy.
