This is a great channel because you not only show procedures but also give great advice about having healthier skin.

Omg, do NOT put a mouth near open wounds … the human mouth contains WAY too much bacteria & may lead to deadly infection!! 😱🙅‍♀️🦠

I don't see why people don't just take some thread and wrap it around the splinter a few times and pull it out that way. It's very effective and the thread grips way better on the splinters once it's wrapped a few times.

Your videos would be SOOOO much better if we could actually see what's going on.

I had a piece of glass in the same place. The doc in ER got me breathing the happy gas. Never felt any pain

I feel like they could have soaked the foot in clean water for a few minutes for the foot to get soft, then used a sterilized knife to gently cut the top of the splinter than just pull it out. They went through all the worst options first. XD

My kid got a splinter like that from a decking board that hadn’t been properly maintained. Was awful. But the only way to get it out was a blade, a needle and some really good tweezers. No I did not try teeth.

Got a chuckle out of "...legitimately using teeth..." of the entire lexicon of words to use to describe attempting to remove a splinter from another person's heal...legitimately just doesn't pop into my head.

I just want to complain about how hard it was to find this video. I saw your short and wanted to see the full video. Provide a link.

This brings back bad memories for me. About 10 years old, running down passage with bare feet and becoming attached to the floor by a large piece of wood. Horrifying.

Not trying to start an argument
I just have a Q:
Doesn’t that splinter look awfully familiar?
Looks quiet like the one that was side-of-knee — could this be parfin wax? (sorry for spelling) splinters I guess could look quiet the same but been watching a marathon and just too similar — forgive me if I’m totally off base

This reminds me of a needle like splinter I had in the back of my right hand; I had no idea it was there since it wasn't laid over like in this vid, but straight in and the only sign anything was amis, was a little itching and what appeared to be a white head forming on the back of my hand.
I didn't even get the chance to do anything with it, since clenching my fist caused the splinter to pop out and purge what pus was present....
*INSTANT RELIEF!*

Glad to see the sterile incisors where used in this technique. However I will take away points for abandoning this technique for the sterile tweezers.

Eww teeth but I have a bit of harmless dirt in my hand. It does not bother me at all. I can see it through the skin and it has been 2 years maybe and its still there. It just chills in my hand. It's just chillin in my hand. Do I need to get it removed, probably not because it's just there and it does not hurt but should I get it removed? Just asking you and other doctors.
