I've had this cheap compressor+airbrush set just two years ago when I began modelling and wasn't sure if I was going to practice this hobby for a long time. It did a really honest job for one year and a half and I painted about 20 models with it. Of course, compared to a higher-end compressor, it's noisy and tends to get hot. But it did a real good job for more than a year. I've bought a new compressor a few month ago but I still keep this one and it still works flawlessly :)

I think it looks great, it’s very portable, it’s a good option for beginners who only make model kits occasionally. I quite like it myself, and if you can build 20 models with it without breaking it then it’s worth the money. But since it’s constantly running it might be burned out after painting 5 model kits😂

Man, that compressor sounds like a turbo charged... personal relaxation device. Great vid thanks for sharing.

Started model building as a lockdown hobby, bought a similar airbrush kit. It works fine for me. I am back to working full time and only build/paint once every week. I get pretty good results and don’t mind taking breaks.

Thank you for your Video I just ordered a kit similar to this yesterday. I am aware that you get what you pay for and I’m looking at this is starting point. As my skill and knowledge increase I’ll up grade components as needed. Thanks again.

I bought a cheap Expo airbrush and compressor (£60) about 6 years ago. Struggled with it from the start.
Generally wouldn't recommend cheap airbrush packages for beginners. I replaced the airbrush with a Sparmax Max-4 early last year and kept the compressor.
This is 200% better!
Although even the Sparmax is still a general purpose/beginners airbrush, the build quality and precision are so much better and that makes a huge difference.

Bought a similar unit 2 years ago and still going strong and have built many car and aircraft models using it. Had some initial usage problems with things like spray nozzle adjustments (critical) and how much paint thinning was required, but I think that had more to do with the fact that this was my first airbrush rather than any fault of the unit. Had to replace hose but only because I stood on it. If you adjust pressure knob just so, I found compressor (yes, same Harley Davidson sound as the one on this vid) will only run as you're actually spraying and will shut off a couple of seconds after trigger release. Slightly thinner paint with these cheap units is also a big help.

Have that same exact one I bought for around US$35 when I returned about 3 years ago. Still using it now even for my professional commissioned work with the only damaged part being the nozzle because i dropped the airbrush.

I have this one for quite a while now. I do occasionally paint when time permits and I think its perfect for smaller scale models like what I mostly do (sd and hg gunpla kits) been wanting to get a better set up tho as it is prone to have moisture build up despite having that moisture trap. Plus the airbrush it came with is sensitive to viscous paint and you may want to thin the paint you are using despite it being ready to use out of.the bottle. A 2½:1 ratio of thinner to paint is advisable based on my experience

Thank you! That answered my question: Does it run all the time - Yes! Appreciate you taking the time to do this review :)

Just bought it from your video
Good option for begginners
With some pratice you can easily learn how to diluate and use it

Quite precise when you know how it works

Built an FW190 1/72 with it and it’s the smallest you can do

You can do very small dot with the right ratio of paint/diluant

If you are a young modeller it’s perfect !

I have one, I add a plastic bottle to make airflow more stable, it works fine for me, as a modest modeller building one or two kits a month, I just use it twice a month. Plus its quiet and low energy consumption.

Just got one today. Will be my first airbrush to start painting my models. Sounds like a decent one to start painting with! I'll upgrade it eventually but for now it is what I got :)

I have that airbrush and compressor, and its completely adequate (for the price) for priming tabletop figures like warhammer

I've been eyeing this kind of airbrush kit to get started on painting gunplas. Thank you Google for listening.

So I guess that's what my single neighbor has been doing late at night. She seems to get super excited when she gets close to completing her models.
