I would recommend putting the Air compressor on the floor when using it.
The airbrush holder should be but to be selfstanding or mountable on worktable not on the compressor.
You can also make a DIY cleaning station using a plastic 2L soft drink bottle and flexible straw, fill the bottle with some water, fit the straw so that one end is underwater and the flexible end comes out the side of the bottle so the tip of the airbrush can be put into the straw and just spray to clean it out.

I got the timbertech airbrush kit with the tank below the compressor. Works great, but the airbrush was nothing but grief. I bought a Paasche Talon airbrush and it's like night and day. The finishes on my paint is smoother, the control is more accurate etc... just an all around great improvement from the cheaper airbrushes. Oh and cheap paint will give you cheap results, get the good stuff, it's worth it.

Just an idea, when you test something, do a real world applicable test. No one buys on of these to do scribbles on piece of paper. We need to know if it can put an even coat on something, will it drip or be inconsistent, does it create a fine enough mist. Can you draw a small figure with intent, pick a star or a heart so we know what you intended, draw with a pencil and follow the line.

About 25 years ago a company approached me with the very first silent oil free compressor to test here in Australia. "Sparmax" in less than 5 years the Chinese market came out making replicas of that design. Iwata sold the same compressor with their sticker on it. I've retired, but I was the service agent for many airbrush compressor importers here including oil bath compressors. I found servicing many compressors, you get what you paid for. I have two "Sparmax compressor from my first purchase back then. Saying that I have one "JUN" air compressor (oil bath) that is over 40 years old. All these compressors are use weekly for many years. One note. Run a hose of at least 10 feet from the compressor head to the moisture trap...The head is hot and will push moisture through the moisture trap, but increasing the distance will allow it to cool and the water gets trapped. Also without a tank it will also run hot!

I bought this set in Germany too. It's my first one and arrives today... I'm super nervous but excited.

One thing worth noting from the Amazon compressors is that they are often the same machine re-badged. They are Chinese and, from the reviews, suffer for it but generally work OK. It's pot-luck. Same with the airbrush - often just re-boxed. Look out for the kits with the most bits and you will see them elsewhere split up into smaller lots.

I bought a similar, but different compressor with a tank and it works just fine. I saved £15-£20 just by buying the one with the airbrush minus some of the, often useless, extra bits. Still going strong after plenty of use.

A couple things. 1. Get a compressor with a tank. 2. Gravity fed is better than bottom feed for minatures. Bottom feed requires higher compressor PSI to essentially pull the paint through the brush whereas the gravity fed lets gravity feed the paint into the brush requiring less pressure and more detailed work.

i got exactly the same compressor 20 years ago … and it’s still working. but this one shall be more helpful if an air tank could be added to reduce its on and off frequency while using.

Put a lid on waste can and drill a fitted hole for tip to fit snugly in. No splash or back spray if u do it right and its no cost.

You can fix your yogurt container by drilling a small hole to insert air brush and a second vent hole on opposite edge of lid . Place some gauze cloth inside to catch paint mist . The hole will also function as a brush holder . A lot cheaper than buying one .

I’ve got a master airbrush when I just started out. The 2 mil nozzle broke up the first day, the O rings got brittle a year in (even tho I didn’t airbrushed that much + I maintained good cleaning) and now it just leaks air and becomes unusable. I would recommend a better one like Harder Steenbeck Ultra or their Evolution airbrushes

I have a 30 years old compressor. Still working. I always wanted a tank so one day I will buy one with tank. But what I like of your compressor is that it turns on and off automatically! Wow...I though only compressor with tank do that! Now I'm envy because I have to turn on and off mine continuosly and it's a pain.
