Another aspect of ascension:

In the book of Hebrews, it says that Jesus made his sacrifice once and for all. Now, how's that? Why is his sacrifice eternal and the animal sacrifices were not? Why Jews had to make those animal sacrifices every year all over again?
Well, the ascension is the answer! Jesus, as the high priest, he went up in Heaven to bring fourth his sacrifice to the Father in TIMELESS AND ETERNAL dimension. His sacrifice is not bound by time anymore and now He can relive that sacrifice in every altar in every mass all around the world untill the end of time.
I don't know about you, but this fact knocked me down!

Thank you, Fr. Josh! Your video couldn't come at a better time. I was recently struggling with this new friendship I had developed but felt unreciprocated... I felt increasingly lonely and began to have all these negative thoughts in my head. After hearing your video, in particular when you read St. Catherine's writing, I finally understood that these pains I felt was because I had lost my orientation. Instead of focusing on the Lord, I got sidetracked and started grasping at the gifts He had given, desperately trying to possess that gift (in this case, a person). Please pray for me so that I will be strengthened and given the courage to remain detached to all and anything but the Lord. I know it will take a lot of hard work from my end too and I need to be patient with myself as I rely on the Lord for His continued guidance. God bless you in your ministry.
