Just ordered some Tenacity. Thanks for the love for us Northerners. Truly needed these tips to get my lawn back into shape after a brutal summer!

I absolutely love your tips!! I am struggling with a heat zapped lawn I am in NH and we are in severe drought. I bought my house two years ago and we had no grass just a dust patch with crab grass and moss...I have worked so hard last year to remove and kill all the moss and then seeded. And I am so frustrated how awful my lawn has become because of the drought

Yes it was hot this summer, but it was also wet. I am in MN and never had to water my lawn and it didn't go dormant. Anyway been following your tips for a whole year and am loving the way my lawn looks, except for when I don't have enough time to mow it often enough. Double cutting has been my normal mode all summer.

I've struggled with dollar spots (along with almost the entire neighborhood), crabgrass, and recently puff ball With all of this going on, some how I'm still dominating my entire subdivision!!! I'm ready for my grass to go dormant so I can work on it all fall and winter long.

Is Tenacity a better choice than quinclorac at this time of year for the finding my quinclorac mix doesn't seem to be working quite as well as expected. Multiple applications on small pieces of crabgrass and it seems I'm only killing 25% or so of what I see.

Good tips!!! I hit on a winner for thin and bare spots this year I got lawn soil, top soil, cow manure, and play sand mixed half bag of the lawn soil half bag of cow manure half bag of sand and a full bag of top soil really well in my wheelbarrow, tossed in about a hand full of milorganite and mixed it up again broadcasted over the problem areas and seeded then broadcasted a thin layer over the seed in only 5 days I had very good grow. It has now been only a week and a half and it has fill in very nicely. I did prep the area with my hand aerator and a good raking before hand. I am only guessing but I would say I had 90% germination on the seed.

LCN, I really like all the knowledge you provide for us on lawns.  I made a mistake and added fertilizer with the wrong setting and the sun baked my lawn (2 acres). Looks like I'll start from scratch and Harley Rake this early fall, add loom, top soil to this hard "HARD CLAY" soil.   We'll see how it turns out.   I enjoy the info and those sun glasses of yours.   Gotta get some and a straw hat to keep the sun off my neck.  LOL  As always, TY LCN.  Looks like you get good shade for your lawn.

awesome work. for grubs and the ole organic way I have used milky spores and have had amazing results! plus it stays in the lawn for years...if you have not heard of it look it up. each year it gets more and more dominant

All the stuff you mention folks can find at their local Ewing irrigation if they have one of course. 3 way blend of turf type fescue will run about 55-60 for a 50# also carry most of your herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. I run a turf management company and we buy all our commercial products from them. Once again great advice. Love it.

Hey there, some questions for you. My lawn has a variety of grasses, I can't tell entirely, but my lawn looks mostly like fescue, and maybe some bluegrass/rye. But, one part of my lawn, maybe 20% of my 2 acres, is what I believe is Bermuda grass. I'm located in southern KY and I'm wondering if I should just leave the Bermuda alone or if I should get rid of it. My plan is that I'm going to aerate, overseed, and spray some weeds in about a month once these 90+ days fade away. But didn't know what you'd think about the part of my lawn with Bermuda grass.

I'm pumped to start my fall lawn recovery program next weekend! And then follow up in the spring with transitioning to your hybrid organic lawn care program. Love watching your videos and every time I watch them I just want to go work on my lawn haha. Keep up the great work! #LCN

Hi Allyn! I have a lawn service I use for my fertilizer and aeration here in Iowa. I do like using Milorganite and I just wanted to make sure I am able to use it as a supplement to my existing lawn care program. I put a treatment on about 3 weeks after the late summer treatment and it seemed to be okay. I plan on doing another application before the ground freezes. Also, I had some disease in my lawn from a wet spring leading into a dry, hot summer. Most of it has come back from dormancy and I am working on patching some areas. However, some white spots keep popping up in my lawn and then if I water those areas they seem to go away. Any thoughts on what that could be and if any treatments need to be applied to counter? Thanks!

The Lawn Care Nut.... I purchased a home here in Massachusetts. Previous owners did not take care of the landscaping or lawn and I have my hands full. I have been watching your videos and trying to prep for a lawn rehab in the early fall. One of the issues is there is a ton of exsisting crabgrass. Do I need to eliminate the crabgrass first? Or just follow your steps... aerate, fertilize, milo, seed and water? Thanks for your videos and info.

I am in Wisconsin, and it's been a really mild summer and the lawn has been growing all year.

Word to the wise. It makes sense to de-thatch. I am rehabbing my front lawn (small, 800 sqFT) and I thatched out THREE 30 gallon lawn bags full of thatch.

Greetings LCN!! Question for you... I'm preparing to aerate, fert, and overseed this weekend. Thus far I've been following your Hybrid Organic approach with phenomenal results. I'm having some issue in my back and side yard with brown spots and I'm working with sod that's 1 1/2 years old. I was planning on putting down (Lesco Starter Fert and Ringer Organic with this application. Is that OK or will that be too much nitrogen? Let me know! Thanks a million LCN! You're the best Bro!

Allyn, towards the end you said "Go ahead and mow, don't worry about the seed." I've always been told not to mow for several weeks after seeding. Is this a myth? Thanks for your time, great video!

Hey Allen, getting ready to aerate, fertilize, reseed according to your videos. Question is, I have a lot of annual bluegrass or rough bluegrass, should I kill it off with a grass killer before fall reseed. I'm in New York, so im thinking my timing is about right. Thank you in advance...YOU ROCK!!!
