That happened to me in a department store the day after Christmas in the 80's. Took a while to find someone who could unlock the door. They found out none of their burglar alarms were working.

Happens to my dad once he locked someone in a store it wasent he’s fault or the mans fault because every aisle he checked he moved to a different one

Wow what a coincidence how this man was extremely lucky to eat some food while basically trapped in the grocery store. I'm glad he'd called the police and the police did their job to get him out. For the employee, that was a huge mistake. I mean if you're going to close the grocery store early at the very least announced the customers let alone check if anyone is still inside the store. Now what if a child who is lost and can't find his or her parents and got locked in the store by a employee not even bothering to check, then that employee would sure as hell be fired.

Lol, something similar happened to me while working at Sears in Glendale, California. I got locked up, no one checked to see if everyone was out ! So I ended up calling my supervisor and the alarm was on too ! So, my supervisor, her supervisor and I believe also the cops showed up. This happened in 1990 ish or so 😅😅😅
