The way BB said: “Because the Master Suffered”.
With his head down.
I felt that! ♥️ 🔥

I love Bishop Barron. I'm not a Catholic, but he's such an encouragement.

Oh Bishop, thank you for explaining how my physical pains can be offered to Jesus. I’m 73 and did not know this. Catholicism is teaching me what my soul has been thirsty for over seven decades. My local Catholic Church is helping prepare for Baptism at Easter in 2025. Your words help me to rejoice on my path to salvation. 🙏

As a Catholic child I learned from my mother to "OFFER IT UP TO HIM". as another way to pray. He want's to be deeply involved in every aspect of our lives..

This is what my mother(who just passed at 99) said when she would tell us" offer it up!" No matter what IT is....offer it up. Amen

I can't tell you how much this gave me liberation from suffering. Actual, liberation. I can't predict what will happen in the future, but it certainly cut the tethers to the past and how it impacted on me. It also gave a mechanism for how to interpret it and make use of it in the future. What a blessing Christianity is. ❤

*St. Paul:* I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am completing what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, the Church. (Colossians 1:24)

Oh Bishop you are so Blessed, so wise . The amount of blessings I get for accepting my physical and emotional suffering, and offering it to the most needed souls, is indescribable.

True love is measured by the thermometer of suffering. ... Suffering is the greatest treasure on earth ; it purifies the soul.

St Magdalene de'Pazzi.
"Trials are nothing else but the forge that purifies the soul of all its imperfections.”

There is no greater sign of being near to God than suffering joyfully for love of him.

Thanks Father Barron! It is important to go through and internalize the Way of the Cross and Redemption, praying to the Holy Spirit for the Gift of Wisdom.
If we don’t, we will fall in the category of those how make interpretations of your words totally close to earth with their minds and not closer to heaven with their souls. We all have to improve in our faith and believes, but we have to study the Bible and our Catholic Doctrine and pray to the Holy Spirit to increase our Faith every Day. We are too Small. Amen!

I belong to an Apostolate called 7 brothers/7 sisters, or the Apostolate of suffering. We pray for priests and we pray for each other.

I had an epiphany this year about suffering. I was suffering terribly for 2 weeks. I kept offering it up to God, but I wasn't feeling better. One night I woke up at 2:30 am. I said the Divine Mercy Chaplet, but this time, I offered my suffering to the poor souls in purgatory. The suffering stopped. The next time I suffered it wasnt as bad. I realized that it was Gods will for me to suffer and I embraced it. The suffering turned to joy as I felt myself united to God. This is a mystery. It cant really be explained. But its true. Christ wants to unite to us thru suffering and many sins are expiated as a result.
