Hi John, thanks for the shout out ! Now you have the best set of Thanksgiving turkey calipers in the world ! When you said you keep them in the kitchen I thought ahhh the only way to make sure that the turkey fits the oven !!! Amazing the steel quality on those . Great job !!

I am also a wood knocker. I say something like I haven’t been pulled over by the cops in years then I’ll knock on wood. The younger guys don’t understand. And I won’t walk under a ladder. I go around. Nice restoration on the calipers. Huge and beautiful!

My thing is anything that has a 13. We had a scratch bakery when I was growing up that sold donuts in a bakers dozen. No thanks I only wanted 12 🤪. Great job on the giant calibers. Thank You for sharing

I found fantastic use for the 14 inch metal chop saw on the job site back when I worked as a carpenter…when I used to do big jobs in the city, we’d frame all the rooms out with metal stud and track. The studs would come in bundles of 10 and if you needed a lot of studs cut to the same length, we’d cut them all in one shot with the bundle still strapped together…anything is more efficient then cutting a days worth of metal studs with only a pair of tin snips lol

Great video 👍 Those huge outside Calipers turned out fantastic! I like the polished look of the caliper. I can believe you when you say it took 5 hrs. To restore those calipers, 36 in. Wide 24 in. Long is A lot of metal to wire wheel, hand sanding and polishing / —Whoa! 😱But I have to say you done a excellent job and I think it looks like N.O.S. 👍👍I seen somebody on line selling a similar one almost exactly like yours for $437 dollars 💵 😮😮😮. They originally wanted $464 dollars 💵 for them. That is wild! I thought that cutting wheel did superbly cutting that hammer 🔨 and not using up hardly nothing of the abrasive wheel. Can’t beat good quality stuff made in the U.S.A. 🇺🇸. Well again great video and maybe we can see some ScoutCrafter Red 🔴 on Mondays video 🙏😄. I hope you have a awesome weekend. 😃👍👍

Wow the size of those calipers 😮 when you said they were hanging in your kitchen it kind of reminds me of the huge fork and spoon that my parents had in our old kitchen😂

Very well done on the calipers. As you said they are HUGE. Thanks for letting us know how long this took. 5hrs is a lot of work, and a lot of flap discs. Nice touch to make the knurled knob, it looks so much better than the crappy square nut.
