I had never heard of this comedian. I’m from the UK, but still I thought I was an informed person. I only heard about him because when he died, other comedians were saying how much they missed him. Now I’m obsessed, he’s so naturally funny, and I found him but only after he died. His poor wife and son, he died too soon. He seemed to have morals and ethics, and loyalty. I’m so sad that he went so young. He so deserved better .

I know I'm not alone in saying Norm has brought me out of countless bouts of depression. Finding his comedy was something special in my life, and since he affected me in that way losing him was the only time a celebrity death hit me hard. Not much else to say but RIP and thanks from all those who enjoy you, ol' chunk of coal.

When I was a kid, I was at school with farm kids from small towns all over Ontario. Occasionally we would go to their town tavern, and the place would be full of various versions of Norm...

This man is one of the funniest people I have ever seen (I'm 49). I've never seen him make fun of another person unless they deserved it. He was a kind person, a good husband and father and from what I can tell, a good friend to many other comedians. I haven't heard a single story of him being an asshole to a non-celebrity, or mistreating women.

The day he passed, the world lost a person who made millions of people happy. God bless you Norm.

My mother had a stroke and the doctor said to the whole family she's not going to get better, and I said no as the oldest, 2 weeks later she woke and lived 12 more years!just SAYIN!
