I use a LOT of makeup brushes and especially nail art brushes as paint brushes

I like to use the sponge eyeshadow applicators to pick up more pigment, especially for glitter eyeshadows, then blend with a brush.

Qtips are great for “erasing” acrylic paint mistakes as well as dots and the like. Wire scourers are great for painting fun textures and creating shrubs or flowers.
