I spoke about the following tips in this video:

1️⃣. Understanding the causes. I don’t think one treatment works for all - so it’s important to know the cause. For example, pigmentation during pregnancy is common and usually fades on its own, as hormones balance. Sun damage, lifestyle, ageing are some of the other causes of pigmentation and fullness.

2️⃣. Sugar is proven to lead to loss of collagen and same goes for UV rays, so it’s best to avoid and limit these triggers. Good skin isn’t just with the right skincare products but also, about having an overall healthy lifestyle.
I’m personally still work in progress when it comes to that, but one step in the right direction already.

3️⃣. You all know how important SPF is but in addition to that, preventing high sun exposure with physical barriers is also crucial, especially if you’re prone to pigmentation, dull skin and acne marks.

4️⃣. It can be overwhelming to use a bunch of different serums so I find that the Dot and Key’s 10% vitamin C serum is fairly an all rounder, with 5% niacinamide and alpha arbutin when it comes to giving even toned, glowing skin. This can be used AM and PM. Ensure introducing it gradually into your skincare routine when starting out and increasing usage as you go. This should not be mixed with retinol and may not be pregnancy and breast feeding safe. Check with your doctor before using.

5️⃣. Lastly, this is said enough but picking on acne is the worst thing you can do for acne marks. Avoid completely and cover with a pimple patch if you need to.

Again, you just read my mind. I was looking for serums that have a perfect mix of what I was using individually. Thanks for letting us know about this serum and it’s uses even though it is a paid collaboration. It will definitely help a-lot of us who cant keep track of multiple serums and layering. Thank you, Tarini! ❤

Your videos always have this annoying sound near the mic ( like chewing ). Could you please try to correct it in the future!

Love the idea of combining multiple actives in one product. This is better than layering and gives all actives an equal chance of penetration.

Till the time she highlighted her acne and her scar, I was wondering how much of that flawless skin is thanks to some filter. By the end of the video, I sure found my answer.

Thank you for mentioning the hormone changes as a cause. I often forget that my hormonal setup is different from others my age due to chronic health issues and I end up comparing myself to others my age and feel bad if I can't reach their level. I need to not do that and be more kind and forgiving of myself. Everyone is going to be different, myself included.

Make sure to apply sunscreen 2-3 times daily. This has really benefited my skin. I’ve found that littlllextra rice berry is the top sunscreen for this. It soaks in quickly once applied. No oily skin after applying. I have been using this for 4 months and it has given me good results. I definitely suggest it if you’re looking for a light, non-oily sunscreen.

Thanks Tarini. I also found out that if we have active acne we should avoid Vitamin C serums for a day Or 2. Although the best thing to use after the acne is cleared is indeed Vitamin C to reduce the dark marks. Acne prone skin is a challenge. 😞😞😣

My best advice for people with acne is to start using CLINSOL soap twice a day.
One time in the morning after waking up, wash your face using clinsol soap and then later apply a suitable moisturizer (I personally prefer Lakme peach milk one). Then at the night, you should wash your face with this soap and then apply the clinsol gel on your acne/acne marks and then ep. Belive me, You don't have to use any other product and you will start seeing results in nearly a month. Don't be afraid if during initial days you notice an increase in acne.
I too faced acne for a long time but Clinsol was my cure. My father is a doctor and he also prefers it.
