How to STOP PS5 Entering REST Mode When TV Turns OFF (Easy Method)

Do you want to know how to stop PS5 entering Rest mode when TV Turns Off. You PS5 will automatically enter rest mode and it will also turn on and switch inputs. This is called device link or HDMI CEC. Go to settings, then select system, HDMI and turn off power link.

It only goes into rest mode when I turn my ps5 on with the controller for me. If i turn it on with the tv remote it works perfectly. Why does it do this only when I turn it on with the dual sense? Is this a software issue or hardware issue?

Here's the problem.

When I turn on my PS5, I do want my TV to switch to the PS5 input.

Problem is, when I just turn my TV on to watch something else, my PS5 also bloody turns on which is annoying me.

I have a Xbox too and this functions much better in this regard.

question....so i had it where if i was watching tv which is input #1 on mine, and i wanted to play my ps5 i just hit the ps5 button on controller and the ps5 would turn on and automatically switch to my ps5 input #3 and was ready to play....and when i would power off my ps5 it would automatically switch back to my tv on input all of a sudden after playing last night(i dont know if i shut it off wrong or whateva lol)... but now when i hit the ps5 button on my controller it turns on my ps5 as normal but it dont automatically switch to my ps5 input 3 and just stays on tv input do i get it back to where it automatically switches to ps5 input as it did before?....appreciate any help how to fix this issue...thanks
