I'm not sure if this technique is deprecated, but I cannot get the sprites to show up when I attach each of the animations I created this way to a new animator controller. They all show up as the yellow "missing"

Can you destroy one sprite and keep the other? For example, if you could destroy the robot in 2 hits, the first hit destroys the head & the second destroys the body. I ask because it seems that that's the way the koopas work in Mario games. They walk around as normal, but when you jump on them the body flies off and you're left with their shell. When looking at the sprite sheets, it seems like Nintendo created the shell sprite and just attaches the koopa head and legs behind it - Making the full body Koopa 2 sprites instead of just 1. I'm trying to figure out how it works and how it could be implemented in Unity. Any advice or explanation would be really appreciated.

How can we collide them? I have near 5 animated different sprites and no one is viewable, just in animator. I enter up arrow one animation trigerred, down arrow other animation, each ones colliders different, but i cant make them different.

Is this possible without creating a game object? For example, an animation with two sprite layers that I would be able to add as a single motion object in the animator controller?

Another case for why I should probably have unity engine. I started making a fun sprite flash animation (on flash 8) in an old style 90s beat em up belt scroller game. The problem I didn't anticipate is that with multiple different characters on a screen, I need to assign them all onto a different layer. That's not a problem. The problem is creating the illusion of depth which I can't do on flash 8 (or any flash) since I can't switch layers around mid timeline. Most of the characters resemble walking over each others rather than behind.

hello to everyone, I have a question about the animation sequence. How can i import a sequence from sprite sheet directly in UI. Normaly when you drag the sprite sheet in the scene it creates an object with a sprite renderer and animator on it including inside the animation where the parameter is how can i make it directly an UI object with animator and animation with parameter (Image:Sprite)???
