Wendy, another older artist here, I've been professional and won awards, Volunteered to exhaustion, taught and showed and sold, but burn out is a real thing! Now at retirement age (I'll never retire from creating.) but retired from the push to Market my work (yuck) your videos have helped me to remember to PLAY again, my tight realism I love sometimes holds me back with the feeling everything needs to be salable. My sketchbooks are my safe place to play. I don't know if you'll see this comment so long after your post but I admit to saving your precious videos in my browser as a sort of dessert - for my soul! Waiting to watch them when I need some of the magic you so generously share here. You my dear are such a gift!

Any video where you combine your artistry and wisdom would be lovely. Loved this one very much. Very touchy and encouraging. Take care, you're precious. Thank you for all you do.

Over the past couple of years, your videos, art and lifestyle along with my daughter teaching me about meditation, have changed my whole perspective on life. I now create more and don’t worry so much if anyone else likes it. I allow myself to have days off to re charge and don’t feel lazy or guilty. I take each day as it is and find great solitude and pleasure in every tiny new thing, especially in my garden. I’m almost 70 and at last feel free to just be! Thankyou so much Wendy! This video was wonderful, thankyou for sharing, take care xx

For me, this was by far one of your best YT vids. Loved seeing the whole process, your color choices, explanations and accompanying music. The resulting painting was so pretty and interesting. I love the hidden bits too. Anytime you want to do this again would be great. MO, USA

Aside from your beautiful artist way;
I'm appreciating your video editing skills, including your narration.
For me the lesson is layering.

Art day for me today and I was having the tiniest existential crisis (as artists do), and thought: I really need one of Wendy's videos to get me through, went and checked, and you had just uploaded 10 minutes ago, bless you!

I see Chinese lanterns appearing on the page about 11 minutes into the video. I've been a little obsessed with them lately, and your work is inspiring!! ❤

A truck hit my car from behind at the end of December. I have been busy doing all therapies for my head and finally able to get out walking. It has done a number on my creativity. It would help my confidence to do but not there yet. Maybe this week. Following your journey has helped me. Thank you for sharing Wendy. Still some memory issues and overwhelm. Healing and wellness to you!❤
