Western Gen. Z as a cohort is generally not based. A lot of us fell for the wokeism hook, line, and sinker. The ones who are, however, are always super-based. As an older Gen. Z'er myself, I tend to find more comfort in embracing more traditional values, especially in a religious sense. I've recently been studying the history of things like the rosary as well as researching the more conservative Catholic concept of "veiling" during mass. They're both beautiful traditions that I've come to better understand and enjoy.

And I'm happy to continue my family's long, rich Catholic history that began in Ireland and England many centuries ago. 😊

24 year old father and husband here. I’m happy that good chunk of my generation is not falling for the nonsense. I’m sure a large lot have been brainwashed, but the fact that I’m not alone in my beliefs is heartening. I know a lot of millennials who unfortunately have decided to go along with the program and they’re fooled into believing worldly success is king, and worldly success is only achieved by a worldly expression of self. Even if they don’t belief it, they’ll gladly approve of whatever degeneracy is considered normal. They’ll display their pronouns. They’ll try their utmost to be nice.

My child is 12 and I think gen alpha. On her own she came to me and said, “I don’t see the purpose of dating until you’re ready for marriage. There’s no need to date in high school.” She also defends the faith online and in person. One of her friends was getting her entire homeschool group to play a horoscope game and she told them she couldn’t play because it’s against her religion. The other two Christian girls followed her and the game was not played. To me gen alpha will be the most based.

This year I came back to the Catholic Church and started Catechesis to recieve my first communion. Next year Ill be confirmed! Praise Jesus Christ for softening my heart. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in you!

Older Gen Z here, what Rev. Calvin Robinson said is exactly on point: 20 years ago the main culture was more conservative and the teens from then shifted to wokeism. Well now the tables have turned, it's the exact opposite. Among the people of my age (won't give my exact age but it's the early 20's) I know, there are definitely many in wokeism, but many other are totally fed up with it and want to return to more traditional values. And there are also many people like me, who were more liberal but with the recent events left the left and changed side.

As a gen Z I must warn you to be very careful, the ones who are tired with degeneracy are quite based, but the others, the opposite, are very degenerate tho

I think they're just more polarized. Hard right or hard left, and that often results in terminally online nonsense.

Gen Z here. Went from atheist redditor to Orthodox Christian. A lot of people are feeling empty, and the only path to fullness is through Christ.

Yes, my 18 year-old-daughter is based, and I love it. I would love to take credit, but I believe the pandemic years accelerated the natural process of becoming more conservative.

I'm a millennial born and raised in Eastern Europe. Even though my family wasn't very devout, the Catholic faith was the 'base', the point of reference. I attended catechisis since forever, it was normal that feast days = church and not just vacation, etc. So even when I was more away from the church at times, I've always felt it's something that defines things in my life (eg morality or basic tenets of good and evil, or the sense/meaning), and when I came back to the faith with converted heart, it was somewhere I could go back to. And the overall culture around me was different too. I see many young peoplen often don't have it anymore, they grew in the culture that lost the sense of Christianity, and often in homes when they're not believing, they often don't know even the basics things. I knew the Bible in a sense the Biblical characters or stories from childhood, I had some knowledge of faith from many years of catechesis, even when I didn't attend them too attentively. I had the memories of coming to church since I can remember. I have a sense many people of the younger generation, don't have it anymore. And the wokeness stuff is so pervasive, it's unimaginable.

I think one variable that plays a big role is that wokeism is so extended that being based is the actual revolutionary idea nowadays so the rebel spirit that we have when we're young comes forth and makes us want to fight for these morals

It's kinda hard to say at this point in time. Some of our generation is indulging in the nonsense while others are rejecting it. I am a Gen Z kid working as a substitute teacher in California, and I got 3rd graders saying things like "Do you support the LGBT community?" And talking about transgender kids. Maybe they're doing it to get a rise out me but it is rather concerning that kids so young are doing stuff like that.
