This was my first Metallica show to be at! They did a great job but you could definitely tell James was pissed then! Lights went down and the only thing you could see was a white guitar get thrown across the stage!

He did the same thing at the Tulsa show. Seems to be a part of the act as I also remember him throwing his guitar around in Austin X-Games 2015 after Sad But True.

That's how much James respects the audience. He wants to give those who paid to be there 110%, and when something like that happens it pisses him off to no end because he only wants the best for those there.

As a former member of a Metal band, I can tell you most musicians are perfectionist and control freaks. No likee when things mess up. In San Diego, I saw Pat Travers hurl his guitar off stage when it started shorting out. He went to the microphone and said, "Be right back." Came back on about fifteen minutes later and gave a kick-ass show. Top man.👍🤘

Hey, I cant blame him. When you're as big as they are and have that many people and dollars showing up every night with literally decades of expectations and you cant get your guitar to work, that's just a nightmare. Even if you and your crew are doing your best with unlimited budget, that doesn't make it hurt any less when you're in front of the crowd and you feel like you're letting them down. It would make anyone stressed enough to throw something. Hell, most musicians have nightmares about choking out on a small gig with no expectations, just imagine scaling that nightmare to that level success/expectation. Im glad lobbing the guitar is all he did with all that stress.

How do you know you're rich, when ya throw a guitar that far at staff with zero fucks given. I couldn't afford a guitar like that or the lawsuit, haha.
