When the Knit-A-Long starts, you’ll receive weekly videos to guide you through knitting the garment, step by step. Join our weekly Zoom stitch groups to chat and get help from fellow knitters and your instructor.

What You'll Learn
This is the perfect beginner sweater class for anyone who is already comfortable knitting and purling in the round. You will learn how to:

- Swatch, measure gauge, and select your preferred size
- Construct a sweater or cardigan (depending on the KAL you join)
- Read the pattern
- Fix common mistakes

"No Frills Sweater" Zoom Stitch Group Schedule:
We will have scheduled Zoom stitch groups that meet on the following days/times*:

Wednesdays from 10am-11pm EST on
August 28th, September 12th, and September 25th

Saturdays from 3pm-4pm EST on
August 31, September 14th, and September 28th

*You can attend as many or as few of our zoom stitch groups as you'd like. If you can't make it to one, you will be sent a recorded version of the meeting after it ends. You can also email your questions to your instructor for her to answer during a zoom call, even if you can't attend.

I’ve almost completed my gauge swatch and I’m so excited to find you here making the no frills sweater. I find my gauge tends to be a little tighter when knitting in the round so that’s how I’ve been making the swatch. I cast on 60 stitches and knitting with magic loop. When the pattern doesn’t specify making a swatch in the round, would I have been okay making a flat swatch even though the sweater is knitted mostly in the round?
