I wish she would publish a book of patterns, it adds up to buy all her patterns!

Two of Wands and starcrossed knits are my absolute favorite designers. I do like the PetiteKnit pieces I've made, but since everyone makes them I tend to get bored seeing them in my feed over and over. I love the sporty chic silhouettes from Two of Wands and how many of her patterns are free and more accessible to beginners. Starcrossed knits has the prettiest, most feminine patterns and she always includes super helpful details on customizing the fit, she's also a super sweet person and so funny!

I’m a new-ish knitter. I learned to crochet when i was around 8 or 9, so i have background with working with fiber. I struggled to understand the ins and outs of knitting until i came across Cocoknits. Julie has a way of explaining things that just made sense to me. If you haven’t heard of Cocoknits or the “Cocoknits method”. I’d highly, highly recommend it.

I love PetiteKnit patterns - she's an amazing designer who deserves all the hype she receives. I like the timelessness of many of her designs - very wearable everyday patterns that also adapt to common trends.

Maxim Cyr makes lovely men’s sweaters. I knit up the single malt for my husband last year.

Lol, I am one of those who never knit a Sophie scarf; can you believe it! Call me a party pooper, but it reminds me more of a rope than a scarf, and I can`t stand anything tied around my neck which is that thin and tight. All right, that`s just me. I think Petite Knit has a lot of nice pattern otherwise. The constructions are very unique and I am not used to knitting top down stuff. Back in the day, I started knitting in 1971, we knitted on straight needles and only bottom up, making all the different parts and then sewing them together. Knitting came a long way since then. Love from Germany.

That Ingrid sweater looks amazing. She has so many sweater and cardi designs that I would love to knit one day. I've just last week purchased the sophie scarf and the fingerless gloves that I would like to knit in cashmere for me and for my mum as a gift for her birthday and I cannot wait to start working on those. Maybe one day I will brave one of her sweaters too :) Maybe the Cloud sweater. Loved the video. And your Sophie scarf in navy blue looks so good!

The sophie scarf is literally the reason I started knitting! I saw someone wearing one at an organizing event and furiously started googling to figure out how I could make one myself. It ended up being the perfect beginner pattern for me since I liked learning a few techniques in one and didn't mean keeping track of where I was the whole time. I just noted each row with a tally mark on the pattern. Unfortunately, I don't actually wear the two I've made that much, but they have come in handy a few times.
The only thing I regret about starting my knitting journey with PetitKnit patterns is that so many other patterns seem imprecise or not well written to me now.

Just came across your podcast. What a great episode! I am a huge fan of Petite Knits. They are such classics in my wardrobe. I just finished the Poppy Tee knit in black and I LOVE IT. I also love my Eva Cardigan. Kim

I had issues with the eyelet pattern when knitting Anna’s Summer Cardigan as well. I saw someone on Ravelry had omitted them so I just did the same.

All your knits are lovely ☺️

I agree with the Brooklyn Tweed recommendation for men's sweaters...I am starting the Grist pattern this week for my 16 year old son. The patterns are beautifully written and charted and offers generous support.

I love her patterns and am knitting my second champagne cardigan for myself. I've made 2 zipper sweater man sweaters and will be making the lighter version for my husband this year and the woman zipper for me. (Already have the yarn) i have made many of her baby knitts as baby gifts) the most patterns i own from one designer are her patterns and knitting for olive. ❤ love them both!!!!

For men's pattern designers I can recommend Paul Haesemeyer & Maxim Cyr. Never had issues with their sweaters before and they usually fit well and are well written

Jared Flood/Brooklyn Tweed have great men's sweaters - I have knit a few for my husband and two teenage sons!

Martin Storey has a lot of great designs for men and I also like some of the Arne and Carlos designs for men. I have yet to knit a Petite Knit design but some of them are definitely on my wish list.

Thank you, this is an excellent review! I was looking for a recommendation on a Petite Knit sweater and now I have it, for myself and my husband. (I also tried the Anna's baby sweater with the eyelets and it was not a success because the pattern did not lead one to success - the yarnover holes were impossible to align.)
