Will, been watching all your videos for the past 3 weeks or so, I have a lovely lovely large pup, retriever kind who loves everybody, and its been my fault as a first time owner not training her to walk on a leash from day one, for anyone who has a new pup, or wants to DO IT NOW. Nothing worked for her, and with people she would just leap at anyone and everyone. I bought a slip lead, changed my life the 2 main things, the correction with the pop with lead and we've had 4 new people come over and she has been so much better. Lead training takes a little more work, but the tips you give just changed the training game for me. I love how balanced you are, because with raising any child/dog you have to have boundaries or they never learn. Especially teaching a large dog to walk on a lead without having your arm pulled off, the slip lead changed our game and I can't get enough of how lovely Sulley is, you're a real good trainer, keep up the work and keep changing dog's lives

Will, I just love the videos you make! I so wish I had watched a years worth before I brought my dogs home. I didn't but between you and Tom Davis I have been able to correct the undesirable behaviors in my dogs. I love to keep watching because it keeps me encouraged to stay on the right track with my dogs. You are doing far more good than I think you realize! Literally saving lives and bringing joy to the world of dogs and their owners. If I ever meet you I'm just going to have to hug you lol!

Every time I watch one of your videos, the first thing I do is get up and go do SOMETHING with my pup. Her daddy is a English Mastif/Cane Corso mix, the momma is a Red Nose Pit. She'll be 3months in about a week. It's such a process even just learning to understand what your dog wants, just as it is for them to understand what you want. Every day has it's up's and down's. The more of your videos I've watched, the more that I try to be more prominent focusing on the up's that she's beginning to understand, rather than let her bad decisions make me feel defeated- making US feel defeated. But it's 1 day at a time. The shimmers of gold when she does things the right way when I'm not micromanaging her are definitely BIG WINS, regardless how little of an act it may be. There's such a stigma towards any sort of dog with Pitbull in their bloodline. I'm determined to prove that stigma wrong and help my baby grow to be a STAR.

Just found your channel.. loving it - have been lucky enough to have had mostly less challenging dogs, but there were a couple that were a bit tricky, we quickly established our rules in a kind manner, turns out without knowing we were doing it along the lines you illustrate.... us old folks kinda knew SOME of this stuff already but not all... your videos are very helpful.

Many stores let you take your dog in. I have two westies and a small terrier mix rescue. Have taken them in Lowe's, Home Depot, tractor supply and Harbor freight for the time that were pups.

I have a very wild child Staffordshire bull terrier cross American bully xl puppy called Hero. Unusual coat markings and colours, he tries to pull on the lead and jump up and pick things up but it’s a battle for sure. He is very strong and powerful but great with people and children and other dogs now no matter how small. He is now 10 months old.

Love the videography on this one! Also, thank you for all the help! We just got a nine week old Labrador Retriever puppy and he is a bit bitey still. Do you think ignoring this behavior/leaving the room would work for this? We're a bit hesitant to physically/harshly remind him that biting isn't okay.
