This reminds me of a saying from an old Tv show “Gilligan’s Island” that goes “never criticize anyone else unless you can do better yourself.” Part of the human condition to judge (assess the competition for strength or weaknesses) and voice that judgement on what you don’t like. I’m no angel and I have passed judgement and criticized more than praise but I am aware of this and try to keep most of negativity to myself or vent it in a journal or a friendly trusted ear. Unfortunately social media and the internet have made people feel free to voice their opinions with little fear of repercussions. I’ve heard time and time again of YouTubers reaching a certain level of success start getting harsh negative comments. I know one YouTuber who had to turn her comments off for a while to get some relief. Sad but true. So for you trolls, if you can do better, do it yourself!
