The LOUDEST Quiet Luxury Brands (& items)...

So whilst the topic of 'quiet luxury' is still swirling around I thought I'd talk about some luxury brands that actually aren't THAT quiet anymore. The notion of quiet luxury is this 'if you know, you know' club and due to the popularity of these brands and specific items from these brands they're no longer quiet luxury...in my opinion of course...ENJOY!

This trend should be called LOWKEY FLEX instead of quiet luxury 😂

This trend is so pervasive that it is becoming "if you know, everyone knows".😅

Chanel is definitely NOT quiet luxury anymore 😂 as well as Hermes - you’ve hit the nail on the head, Cassie 👍🏼

‘Chanel is the Zara for rich girls’ - can’t remember where I heard that quote, but thought it was funny.

You are absolutely right. IMO quiet luxury is usually entirely brandless, not just brands that do not rely on logos, but custom pieces. Ordering clothing from a tailor with your measurements or asking a jeweler for a custom piece

Honestly Im so done with people overhyping old money. People think they buy a beige blazer from Zara and all of a sudden are more classy and wealthy looking then others. Everyone has a style and one is not superior to the other. Love Cassie for being so neutral about all of this ❤ this is why I love her even more

Ca$$, your spot on with this. Personally, I think this 'quiet luxury' saga is a response to logomania and the streetwear influence on all the major fashion house. Just another way to create separation in the world of luxury because it's becoming to accessible by a certain demographic...if you know what I mean.

i grew up around old and new money and honestly, there are “old money” ppl that are flashy, tacky and obnoxious, and “new money” ppl that are frugal, discreet and value money adequately. it’s so funny how ppl perpetuate stereotypes without even knowing what they’re on about. either way, they’re all elitist and it’s ridiculous how we continue to try and impress ppl that will never even look our way with respect. just buy what you like and can afford at least twice (that’s what my dad tells me), and get a good education. focus on yourself and not others, guys. this is all shallow stuff and the real value of life is in the people that love you, having a good heart, and doing what you love too.

I think a good tell of when an item is no longer ‘quiet’ is once fakes are flooding the mainstream. Every time I see Van Cleef clovers, gawdy chanel or LV logo bags, the hermes orans, I immediately question if they’re real or knock offs.

*edit: I posted this literally 5 seconds before you said almost the exact same thing about dupes 😂

Ugh love the videos from your parents home. The background is always giving.

It’s just the fashion cycle. Logo mania was in fashion for a long time. Now it’s time for something different… and by different, I mean we will all go out and buy the same things and look like clones 😂

Real tea, as my family grew up in a area where this quiet luxury was everywhere, is that most of the wealthy get their clothes tailored, and don’t buy from brands like at all - their are custom for them

If the whole point of “quiet luxury” is subtlety, but every chance people get they’re flaunting their wealth by showing off the elitist brands only they can afford to wear…it’s ceases to be a luxury that’s quiet anymore.

I don't understand this fascination with quiet luxury, people are simply highlighting brands that we all know about anyway. There seems to be an obsession with people who are so rich, private and disconnected that most of us cannot even imagine how they really live and what they buy. What is the point really, if we all wear neutrals now will Joe Bloggs think that we are silent billionaires riding the bus? *eye roll

I def agree with Chanel no longer being a quiet luxury brand and social media is to thank for that. So many Chanel bags and clothing are displayed on IG so much, that we can now spot Chanel a mile away. It wasn't like that 10 yrs ago. Chanel had such a quiet aesthetic that when you saw it and wasn't familiar with luxury, you knew you were seeing something expensive but didn't know what it was. Chanel now hollers its name. Lol! Great video Cass!

Ferragamo has been my go to for years. Whenever I wear a piece I get so many compliments. People appreciate the quality and style of the house. I’m surprised it’s not as recognizable. At least where I live

I think the biggest issue is the idea of luxury seems to be centered solely around designer and high end pieces. Luxury is different to each person. For one it could be leather shoes. I believe luxury is found in things like made for you bag, jewellery etc. It's having something that is yours and not trying to keep up with everyone else

I don’t remember where I read this but there is a correlation between quiet luxury and the economic climate. The article explained that in a slower economy the “rich” would rather not appear so ostentatious and wore logo-less items. The fashion houses also follow this trend as we see for example Gucci pull back from its crazy loud designs. On the other hand when we economy is doing well and more people can afford luxury, it usually is seen as ok to wear more logos. Thought that was interesting!

I find it ironically humorous that the conversation around "Quiet" luxury is now so loud.

Very interesting video Cass.

I'd also add that one quite luxury brand that ppl aren't talking about is Tom Ford - heavily featured in Succession btw

Great vid.

Good morning my beautiful Cass Cass! I think people should be able to express themselves through fashion, and not worry about quiet luxury or old/ new money aesthetics. Just enjoy fashion and express your personality 😊.
