Whenever I hear "only poor people wear designer, " I am dumbfounded. I don't think "poor" means what they think it means! By definition, poor people can barely afford necessities, let alone luxury! So if anyone can afford to buy luxury items, they are NOT poor. They may not be rich, but they're definitely not poor either.

They might think I'm crazy but since I bought my lux bags and slgs I make sure that I use one of them everytime I get out. Gym, short walk, grocery, window shopping. The true test of elegance is to rock logos and still look elegant. I'm not trying to be looking 'old rich'. I am certainly not, I got my $$ from working hard. I'm ok with modest approach but I also love trendy. This is a free world people, as long as you don't steal that money live your life, enjoy things that you like or love. You can't bring them when your dead.

I only started wearing Gucci, Rolex, LV, YSL, Chopard and other luxury brands when I had A LOT of money, so I can confirm that rich people wear these things. I never had these things when I was broke or in a lot of debt.

OMG! Thank you so much for this video. It really annoys me when people were like, "Poor people buy LV & Chanel to show off & to look rich." I'm middle class and even buying a Charles & Keith bags made me think 12 times 😅. People splurge on luxury for different reasons like to celebrate a promotion, graduation, birthdays, bonuses & vacations.

For me, luxury is subjective. What is luxury to some may not be luxury to others. This is due to many factors like currency exchange, personal economic situations & geographical situations.

Also, you're right about not babying the bag. Kate Spade, Coach, MK, Charles & Keith, Dior, no matter what bag it is, I'm still putting them on my car floor when I'm driving.

The downside of demand for LV, Chanel, and Gucci items is that the quality has seriously suffered, truly making the item not worth the price. You are paying for quality and these brands no longer have it. My personal take on dressing in head to toe logos is that I refuse to pay to advertise for them.

The poor don't usually buy these expensive items...but the middle class so often do: those with just enough money to be able to save up for them, but it is often involves a certain sacrifice. The very rich can afford whatever they want, so spending $10, 000 on some logo items is not special for them.

Whet if you save your money like you said to give yourself a nice birthday present. You might buy one bag a year. To each his own.
