I think Carl Sagan was a great agnostic, always leaving the door open to a possibilty of God but never too sure. A great orator.

That's... a very good point, we know when inflation happened, the big bang, but that's not the start of the universe, it's just as far back as we can ever look.
Truth is there are things we will never know, but we should try to expand our understanding in anyway we can.
