One month in since I bought my 65” LG CX, and I’m still blown away at how it looks. I’m loving it!

Vincent pumping out videos like there’s no tomorrow, and I love it! Keep it coming and one obscure joke that everyone loves. Great work!

Great review. I got the Vizio Oled for $900 at best buy and it is an excellent TV, picture quality is better than even the most expensive LCDs. The LG CX is overall a better choice for most people if you don't mind paying the extra 400-500 bucks, it is more refined in terms of Software.

The thing with the Vizio is that most of its issues can be potentially fixed by a firmware update (Vizio is aware of the issues mentioned and they are working on it, specially the ones related to gaming at 120hz).

If Vizio delivers with a good firmware update the difference with the LG would be negligible.

One thing that is worth mentioning is that the Vizio doesn't have bluetooth, only the LE version for the remote! so if you want to pair a bluetooth speaker or headphones to it you'll need an external bluetooth receiver/transmitter.

It would be interesting to see a comparison with the LG BX.. I wonder if the Vizio is closer to the CX or the BX in terms of performance. If the BX is just $100 or $200 more than the Vizio and the picture quality is about the same, then that one would definitely be a better option.

Agreed. Vizio is a great OLED, but only at that $900 sale price for the 55". Had it in my house for a couple of weeks (and the CX) and really enjoyed it. At regular price, I think it's better just getting the CX for a couple hundred more. This was a first great attempt by Vizio. I look forward to seeing what other manufacturers do in the coming years.

I have a 55" LG C9, a VIZIO 65" OLED, and a 77" LG CX. We use the 55 and 65 for watching TV/streaming, and 77 for movies and Xbox series x games. The CX is definitely the best for picture quality, with the C9 and Vizio being pretty even. As far as experience goes, though, the vizio gets the W, because I absolutely can't stand the LG remote. the motion-sensitive pointer is incredibly touchy/sensitive, and is downright annoying - even bumping it will bring the pointer and menus up. for casual use, show streaming, or living room, I'd suggest the vizio. for home theater, I'd go LG CX.

I want to say a big thank you to Vincent, after watching all Vincent's reviews for the LG CX, I decided to go ahead and buy the LG CX 65" in the black friday sale, I bought it from Richer Sounds, after mentioning Vincent's name and channel HDTV test i got a further £100 discount on the sale price so instead of £1799 i got the tv for £1699 which basically made the Sanus wall bracket free of charge, and to top things off in the deal I got a free pair off LG earbuds worth £100. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Thanks again to you Vincent for the advice and the further discount I recieved.

To sum it up people, It really is worth mentioning Vincent and his channel when buying from a shop that Vincent recommends.

Still not bad for Vizio's first entry on oled tvs. The next one sure will have more improvements. Having vizio go onto oled makes us consumers the winners. Pricing will def go down.

I got the VIZIO 65 inch OLED for $1500. The CX was $2200. Too good a deal to pass up. It’s a beautiful panel.

Vincent, As always an excellent video! I have the Vizio H1 55” and I am very impressed considering the $899 I paid for it. However, I also ran into the many firmware and hdmi2.1 issues. I did manage to get it to do 4K 120 4:4:4 with HDR and VRR once, however after a few minutes the signal started dropping out and when it returned it was only displaying blue/green tones in the image. The TV is a couple firmware update away from being great.

Looking forward to more videos about this TV as new firmwares are released!

As an owner of the Vizio, the process for changing the picture settings is super annoying. You can make your own custom display settings, but they reset to default when you switch display formats. So that means you have to create 4 custom variations of every display mode (one each for SDR, HLG, HDR10, and Dolby Vision).

These videos are so informative; it's clear to everyone how much detail and technicalities you choose to include.

I think it would be useful to add visual elements (words) referencing the specs you're going over. You can superimpose the specs as you discuss them over each respective TV; stats such as lumens output, a green check mark over the winning TV in each category discussed, etc.. Keep up the great work!

got myself the 55' lg cx and a jbl 5.1 Surround, works great with the series x. Only issue I've had with the tv was a line going across the screen. next day when I turned on the tv the line was gone, no issues since then with the screen.

Have you mentioned about the new secret feature unlocking bt.2020 on the CX/BX models? If you go to picture settings and press 1 1 1 3 1 1 1 it opens a secret menu. I'm curious what your thought opinion about forcing bt.2020 is. Seems to really give the set some serious vibrancy on colors without over saturating.

The reference X300 is just a thing of beauty. Wow apart from just the skintones being a class apart you can see on the actor's shirt how perfect/correct the tone of white is in comparison to the "whites" on the VIZIO & LG OLEDS.

It's fantastic that you show it though - even though it's a smaller image/display in comparison - the difference between 'true reference' - and "only" very good - is pretty obvious tbh.

Technically, the Vizio is a competitor to the LG BX, not CX...and it's cheaper than even the BX. It would be worthwhile to see that comparison.

It is interesting that most of Vizio's faults can be fixed in firmware updates. If Vizio ever got their ass in gear, they could offer an OLED within 99% of the performance of the CX for 2/3 the cost. The issue is Vizio has been notoriously slow in rolling out updates, so I wouldn't hold out for it.

04:20 Is it just me or does CX look much smoother there?
