Did my 10 day 1 trade a day challenge, then immediately had a big loss. Spent the rest of last week getting it all back, and fully green after Monday and Tuesday this week. Did pretty much exactly what you've laid out here. I'm doing max 3 trades per day right now and loving it. Can stay at 3 for a while and increase size when/if account grows. Slow, steady, and grateful.

Q: Should I use CFDs instead of stock shares ?
both carry risk and not holding for long. What your take on this.?

I will trade in one to three stocks if there are that many worth trading but I'm only trading five and 10 share lots. It's great practice and I suffer from small losses and small gains and when I feel ready I will move to bigger share size.
