Emil Zátopek and insane 3 gold??? He was a Czech long-distance runner best known for winning three gold medals at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He won gold in the 5, 000 metres and 10, 000 metres runs, but his final gold medal came when he decided at the last minute to compete in the first marathon of his life.He was nicknamed the "Czech Locomotive". His 1st ever marathon and won? That's unmatched, unparalleled...

Nadia Comaneci had the great advantage of having great grace as well as skill. She won over the judges easily.

You know it’s a crime if not Michael Phelps on the top of the list as best Olympic athlete and performance

I’m so mad that bolt kept pulling up. I wish we could see him run flat out for the entire 100. He would have been sub 9.5

Don't forget Ester Ledecka who won two golds at 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. It was special, because one gold medal is in Parallel giant slalom in snowboarding and another one being in Super-G in alpine skiing. Truly amazing accomplishment.

Man, I love the Olympics so much. Seeing the world come together to celebrate human excellence is so heartwarming and beautiful. Though it does sadden me that so many amazing Russian athletes don't get to show off their athletic excellence this year. Hopefully next games.

I ran track when I was young. Bolt, van Niekerk and Rudisha are legends for me!

Emil Zátopek missing? The only one to win gold's in 5000, 10000 and marathon at one Olympics? Moreover, it was his first marathon in life?

forever love for nr 6, Nadia! Not ONE score of 10 before 1976, then 7 scores of 10 out of nowhere in just one olimpic competition. She must be nr 1
