They should ask her to pay back all the money they spent on her since the day she was born.

I do not think that any parent should be forced to pay for college.  Many cannot afford it.  She is 18 years old, and if she wants to go to college, then she needs to figure it out.  What a spoiled brat.

No parent is legally obligated to pay for college tuition.

I was listening to the beginning part that said she was a honors student at a private high school and began thinking "why don't the parents pay for college if they could?" Then the "She left because she doesn't like their rules" part came.

Ok my question is why or how did this got to court and wasting people's time? They should've just laugh at her and say NO

Kids today, parents raised them for 18 years, and they only think they deserve more.

i wonder what happens if she loses the case, and then she would have to pay her attorney and to pay for her college tuition out of her own pocket.

The family friend she is staying with, the dad, is a lawyer and they want her parents to cover her legal fees.

Personally I think that this is good for this little brat it will help her to appreciate her parents.

Little spoiled princess has never had to take responsibility for her actions and decisions, well now she does and she can't handle it.

She voluntarily moved out, she has no rights to anything from her parents.

my parents did the "tough love" thing to me, and it sent my youth up in flames.  I've been swimming through the gutter.  Edgar over there had the same problem.  I had planned to go to a trade school when I was 16, but the person who helped me didn't want me to do that.  Plus, the stupid school tricked me in my stupid years.  Yet again, I would have pulled through if my relative wouldn't have put me on the taxes when I was on my own at 17 or if my other relative didn't have so many children.

Why doesn't someone give her a job, so she can earn her tuition like you did? This was a pointless broadcast. Why don't you stay out of it yourselves then. Because there's no other way of telling her she is breaking her parents hearts?

Okay,  I understand that the girl is being ridiculous, but I am tired of people that are in their late 20s early 30s saying it is the generation that is spoiled and wants everything. I am 17 and I don't feel like I deserve anything. Stop being so bias, it is not a teenager thing. It is an individual thing; doesn't matter how old you are. FYI these people are not that much older.

Oh My ..when the world has so drastically changed in that the Roles of the Parent and Child become a Blurred issue we know for sure that the World is coming to a Naught. When your own child has to sue You to remind you of your responsibilty as a parent, then it is apparently clear, that the parent has become the Child and the Child is now the Parent. Irony is having a field day with this subject lol
