Maybe it's time for a follow-up video... i would start with the Black 27 since that project looked promising as well, but it seems old habits are hard to get rid of.

With Asus announcing an 32" QD OLED next year that is 4k 240hz, it feels like a safer option than Dough. Also Dough still has issues, their biggest trick (?) seems to be post a product get pre-purchases and t hen release a newer product as a replacement. Where this is a problem is this adds additional delays in getting the display you want and they are not very good with keeping consumers updated as to their orders. TheVerge seems to have an article out about getting refunds for anyone that purchased a product and not received it. (Not sure how those are going, my refund is in progress reportedly).

Would you ever use a 49" monitor like the Samsung Odyssey G9?

The largest problem for customers looking for a monitor is Eve/Dough are the only ones offering a glossy choice. If other manufacturers did that, this company would be toast.

Couldn't be more torn as to whether to pull the trigger on this (even as someone who fully clued themself up what's transpired with the Spectrum One over the last couple of years). There are definite signs of improvements with regards to supply chain and logistics. Question is are their shady tactics simply diversions during difficult/unprecedented times until a point where the resulting hardship passes (which is almost to be expected at least to some extent by any company), or is it genuine deceit. The introduction of purchasing through a retailer is certainly a boost to reassurances. When the option is available for my country (UK), I think I am willing to take a risk.

Since I am an EVE Online player, I was toying with the idea of buying an eve monitor, just for sh.ts and giggles (and to round up the theme). But them being unable to deliver is REALLY bad.
So them escaping forward and ditching the name, I can only say: I'll believe it when I see it.

I'll probably go for another, more reputable manufacturer for when I want to buy my 3x 4K monitors. Because that will be a lot of money invested.

I ordered 2 monitors from them, and received both. Turns out I didn’t need both, and returned the other. Both delivered within a week, and got a full refund for the other within 2 days after they received it. I’m not saying that others experience isn’t valid, but it was not mine. However, I would still wait until it’s released. I never pre-order anything except maybe the occasional game.

I wish the monitor was available with a curved panel

I hope they actually send me a monitor this time. My 1440p IPS is still in limbo. :) Glossy! 240 1440p and 240 4k, one of each for me.

I strongly urge all YouTubers to remove all videos endorsing Dough (formally known as Eve) due to their track record failure to deliver promised products, and their refusal to provide refunds. It is essential to ensure viewers are not misled or inadvertently support a company with such concerning practices no matter how many times they had re-branded themselves.

I have a feeling other companies are going to release 32 inch 4k Oleds next year as well. Hopefully some glossy one’s, It would be a shame if dough is the only company that has a glossy panel.

gotta love how the 27" costs more than the 32" even tho they got same specs.
