The train fight between Doc Ock and Spider-Man was the idea of director Sam Raimi and the first major sequence to be filmed.

This spidey can take a freaking beating, way tougher than the other Spider-Men. TM will always be my favorite Spider-Man, and Alfred Molina will always be my favorite spidey villain. So glad he’s coming back.

The CGI in this movie is brutal, I mean it was just 2004 and looks better than things made in 2018

Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man's fighting and swinging style is amazing. So cool, heroic same time. This scene is a Sam Raimi masterpiece.

One of the coolest action scenes, ever.
Something that elevates this scene even further in the context of the full movie as opposed a quick 5 minute clip is the subplot where Peter's powers have been unpredictably waning at the worst possible times. The tension gets cranked to 11 when you're watching the action wondering every second if THIS is the moment Spidey's powers are going to let him down. It also makes the beat at 2:45 much more joyous, it's not just 'generic moment where the superhero theme plays because he did something heroic' it's 'oh my god, Peter finally got his life together look at our boy go'

0:59 I have to point out how spectacular the sound design is, I think its something that's very under-appreciated. The epic score, the shooting and stretching of the web, the mechanical arms, the wind whistling through the clock hand, Tobey's fantastic acting at sounding as though he's really using all of his strength, the destruction of the building. There's so much that well done with this movie, especially in regards to the sound design. 👍

Molina nailed the delivery of "You have a train to catch.". Calm and collected. What a bastard.
