This Is What Happened To Launch From Dragon Ball

Whatever happened to Launch from the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

We have Akira Toriyama to thank for creating the Dragon Ball franchise, but we still have a few questions for him. Today, we’re going to be talking about what happened to the dual natured character known as Launch. She was a huge part of Dragon Ball and we also saw her in Dragon Ball Z, but then she just disappeared. Recently, illustrator Toyotaro provided us with a glance of what she would look like if she came back in Dragon Ball Super.

It turns out, Toriyama has given some thought about the fate of this once popular character. Find out what happened to Launch and if things ever worked out between her and Tien Shinhan. I love to see Lunch interacting with Vegeta or Android 18.

I think Toriyama tends to create new characters rather than flesh out older ones. Before Vegeta replaced Piccolo as the serious, no-nonsense member of the team, Piccolo had replaced Tenshinhan in that position. Before Kuririn was the hopeless romantic of the group, that character persona belonged to Yamucha.
He even creates characters for a sole purpose, but when they've either fulfilled that purpose (or not), Toriyama will afterwards just leave them to linger and never do anything significant again, like Gohan.

You forgot her appearance near the end of Z. When Goku is charging the Spirit Bomb, and he calls out to his closest friends to help, good Launch is seen raising her hands in the air.

Honestly Id bring back Launch and explain her leaving as her trying to figure out how to balance her two lives. But eventually she found the Dragon Balls and made a wish to seperate her two forms because Blonde Launch didnt want to get rid of Blue Launch. Blue Launch is living a quiet life and Blonde Launch is the one who runs back into the Z fighters. Oh and I’ll throw Yamcha a bone and make it that Blue Launch married Yamcha and when everyone asks why Yamcha hasnt mentioned it or brought Launch before he brings up the valid point that the z fighters always draw a new super villain every few years and everyone even dies or gets hurt so he pulled a Hawkeye to protect Blue Launch.
