Repent = means stop turning from sin, stop being sorry for sin, stop trying to be holy and sincere these are all work's that you do.

1) A sinner does not have it in him to repent and believe in his own effort. No one seeks after God. Salvation is by grace alone.

2) No mention that faith is a gift of God so that no one may boast.

3) This is only half the gospel. The other half is that a sinner needs the imputation of Christ's righteousness. This is what we can rest in for our salvation. Christ has done all that's needed on our behalf. Christ has fulfilled the law for us. He had done all the obedience required for our Salvation. Trust in His work for you.

4) Look to Christ and the work He has done on your behalf for your assurance of salvation. Don't look to yourself and what you have done or are doing. All our efforts are filthy rags.

We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. When a person exercises true saving faith, they are born again. When a person is born again, this produces a transformation. The works that come from this transformation are NOT meritorious of salvation in ANY way, but rather are the evidence of the born-again experience.

I have been struggling, seriously in pain, doubting my salvation. I am one who thinks way too much about things....too "knowledgeable" for my own good. I reason my heart is so wicked and deceitful, maybe it's lying to me, telling me I believe what is necessary for salvation. Also, I think how much belief or faith is enough? Then, I think why do I believe God can take care of my never dying soul, but not take care of me daily. (When I was coming out of my addiction, a phrase I have never forgotten is "twisted logic!") Only one who is saved can be "double-minded, " and I truly sense Satanic oppression! That should be enough! But listening to this video absolutely crushed me into a posture of humility and relief...I cried and cried. Thank you....

I've did a lot of bad things that could of landed me in prison. And one day when my dog I've raised sense she was a pup died I cried out to God, not condemning him but morning for my dog. When I was crying with a shout, just like that became calm and felt wings that were taller than me surround me. Got Baptized, quit my swearing, smoking, and what I've been doing. Being Baptized doesn't mean that you will forget the past in what you did. I read my Bible a lot now days. Can't get enough of it.
