How do you know if you need more work on strength or speed? Do you use certain benchmarks to test your athletes? A video on how to assess this for yourself would be sick

i would say that one of the most effective excercises would be climbing stairs with as heavy weight as possible, also reversing down the stairs, to get also the eccentric effect... however not found yet the way to execute this with safe enough manner

1. is there a difference between accelarating into your jump or just go as fast as you can from start to finish into the jump?

Kevin what are you thinking fam. You don’t wanna be a weak old man, it doesn’t end well. They fall down, lose their balance on staircases, slip more often. You lose muscle mass and elasticity as you age, so if you don’t build a good base as a young man, it doesn’t work out well. Get after it buddy. Plus it translates into the bedroom 😘
