LIVE: JD Vance hosts MAGA rally in Ohio

JD Vance is returning to his home town on Monday for his first solo appearances on the campaign trail since being named as Donald Trump’s running-mate (Bevan Hurley writes).

He is due to appear at a campaign event in Middletown, Ohio, at 1.30pm local time (6.30pm in the UK).

The Ohio senator, 39, will then travel to Radford, Virginia, for a rally on Monday evening.
