1. Selective logging

3. Ecotourism
4. Agreements between different countries

For teachers who are wishing to use this video with their geography students you may consider the following strategies once you have uploaded the link onto Show My Home Work (or alternative homework platform that you use).

1. Identify the core knowledge from this topic.

2. Using the video resource, answer the following exam questions;
Explain how rainforest environments can be managed sustainably (6 marks)
Compare the different strategies for the sustainable management of Tropical Rainforests (6 marks)
Explain which management strategy is the most socially sustainable (4 marks)
Identify two ways in how the management strategies have economic benefits (2 marks)

3. Research task; Using the key management strategies used in the video, use the internet to research each of these strategies to find an area of rainforest in the world, where these strategies have been applied. Answer the following questions, Have the strategies been successful/ unsuccessful? Why?
