Thank you for creating and posting this informative video. Obesity sometimes is an obvious medical condition, I think, within the group home community but BED is a brain/emotional aspect that could be overlooked. My own experience of binge eating vending machine foods during college was not anything that anyone would have guessed was going on with me at the time.

I'm '6 1" & WEIGHED 193 LBS. before my wife of 33 yrs. took her own life at the age of 49, we were married for 33 yrs. since High School. In 8 short months after her death I weighed 375 lbs, people didn't know what to say or do but kept bringing me FOOD. I didn't disappoint & ate EVERYTHING I WAS GIVEN.

After about 13 months out I stopped eating ( I WAS SICKENED BY THE SIGHT OF MYSELF ) I stopped anything & had nothing but Decaf. Coffee for 29 straight days. I lost 11 lbs & then only ate every other day in small portions. 3 months later I was down to 239 lbs. & felt much better " PHYSICALLY " but stilL FAT.

I'm now at 224 lbs. & stuck there it seem's like, I'm embarrassed so I'm going on another hunger strike. That seem's like the only way I can lose weight. The Anxiety, Depression, Roller Coaster Ride of emotions are UNREAL plus the things I can't unsee make me a shell of what I once was.
