I think there should be separated tier lists for base class stats/skills and their skills as secondary to another class, they can vary quite a bit!

Why I subbed. To the point without needlessly dragging out with clips to match the audio. 👍

If it is based on time of acquisition then Agrias is the best character bar none. Because she alone can single handly carry you through all the absurd early game grinding!

Very nice! Glad to see Beowulf and Meliadoul mentioned even like how you point out the weaknesses of the Arithmetician

You deserve way more subs and views good sir. Thank you for replying back to people and for getting a nice piece of art!

Such a great list! Another job, which seems always overlooked, is the Mediator, they're the best way to lower Faith to 03, making almost every unit into a Construct (Worker) 8 type unit, as long as you don't care about magic :D

This game is forever is my heart...I have even taken parts of this game into my D&D campaign... I would love a remastered or even a more updated FFT game. I could talk about this game for hours, and all the different TACTICS I used beating this game over and over and over again... Like when I stripped Gafgarian of all his gear and turned him into a priest right before you fight him the first time. Love this game, glad I found your channel!

Glad there are still channels making fft content. Here's hoping they follow through with a remake soon

My favorite character is Malak. Drop his faith as low as possible. Make him a geomancer with monk skills. Give him gear that raises pa and ma. You got a mage that kills mages. And can heal and revive. Geomancy isn't that strong but has a range of 8 so he's hitting from 8 spaces early, might get a status effect as well. Magic just bounces off him. The perfect antimage.

your list is 100%. In the mod that I have been working on, I nerfed Cid, Balthier, Beowulf and replaced Reis with Aerith from FFVII, just because of how over powered they were. Removed Barrage entirely, reduced Cid's stats and got rid of Beowulf's Break ability. It brought so much additional balance to the end game.

Meliadoul is my fave!!! Thanks for showing her some love. And someone one time compared Agrias to Brienne from GOT, I can’t unsee it now, perfect casting.

I made a Cloud Strife with 99 Ap, levelling him as Monk, and de levelling as a Item User Multiple times. Was proud of myself for the time investment.

I personally enjoy throwing samurais skill as the secondary on most of my mages. Good instant close range skills. I try not to use arithmetic as secondary due to how easily you can break the game with it.

I agree that Orlandeau is amazingly powerful, and as a kid, I loved that easy mode feeling. However, as a grown man, OP characters make the game boring to me. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd prefer a challenge.

Do you have a Parry video? I usually start off everyone with that and it’s cool sometimes to see a chemist block Thunder soul with a romandan pistol, or the classic sword block against another sword. Then it’s really boss stuff like a thief block an arrow with a dagger! I’ve seen bow blocks too, knight parry reaction skill is underrated imo.

My list is different because I never played WOL:
1. Orlandu
2. Ramza as Squire in chapter 4
3. Beowulf (not because he is particularly strong, but his debuffs are amazing and he is great overall, the best character to have while farm to turn enemies into chicken lol)
4. Samurai (a Time Mage, White Mage and Wizard in one class and all his skills are instant, I give Samurai as a second job to all my characters)
5. Summoner
6. Lancer
7. Agrias (not evaluating her higher because she's too slow in the base game, not even back in the day I liked to duplicate excalibur's to my party)

Honorable mention to Meliadoul and Arithmetician, Meliadoul need human enemies to shine and Arithmetician you need to know what you're doing (not my case lol, but I can see why the class is busted).

hey J7!!! Nice video and agree with Meliadoul!!!
Give me a tip, please!! What is your strategy to "power level" these characters?
I'm still using the focus/acumulator strat, but special characters don't have access to it.

Ramza as a Monk, Squire 2nd, Heavy Equipment, and a movement skill, is still my favorite beast mode character outside Orlandu.
