Brilliant! This fills in a few blanks. This also shows me the association my relatives had with Prince Rupert, and later the Hudsons Bay Company to which my kin were associated with. (Ruperts Land) My family emigrated to America starting with Francis Sprague in 1623 400 years ago. In Elizabeth's era there was Lawrence Atwell a modern charity in London that is part of The Skinners Guild (Fur trade) My direct ancestor worked for the Brewsters of the Mayflower, traders in the 1660's. One of our brothers appears to have sailed off to Port Royal Jamaica and left issue. He was buried just outside of Fort Rupert (Named for Prince Rupert) a Pirate of notable reputation much like Henry Morgan. You will find my long form of my surname in the sypher At The Well (Wishing) making the De Vere 5 pointed star on Shakespeare dedication page.Contemporary to Shakespeare were the Admirals Men, amoung them Thomas Attowell a jig dancer of some renown. I think he was also with The Chamberlains Men and "A Companie of Queer Dauncers" present definitions maybe applicable. They were at Blackfriars along with almost ALL the Characters mentioned. But the connection between my surname and John Gaunt and the Plumes is remarkable, given my ancestors sacking of the Savoy Palace, Watt Tyler Revolt in the middle ages.
